Reverse Culture Shock

It’s my first trip back home after a year abroad in South Korea. On a city bus in Montreal, my head starts spinning. I’m bombarded by the conversations around me. A young man brags about his sexual exploits to his buddies; teenagers gossip about their classmates; a married couple is having a heated exchange I’d rather not be privy to. I’d forgotten about the joys of public transportation.
