A Moment of Weakness
Forgive me, mirror, for I have sinned. It's been two weeks since my last transgression, a liqueur cherry coated with dark chocolate. And now in the garden café under a freshly sprouted umbrella, the frailties of the flesh have risen from the ashes of another diet. Blame it on a rush of sunshine to the head, a dizzy springtime moment.
As the last morsels disappear, who will absolve me? But surely there can be no greater temptation than a frangipani cheesecake in the luscious bosom of spring.
